Coach Brandon has an aquatics career that has spanned over 20 years as both an athlete and coach. Originally from Southern California, he moved to Copper Canyon, TX in 6th grade and graduated from Marcus High School in 1999 where he was a member of the Marcus Swim Team. Brandon's swimming career continued at Fullerton College in Fullerton, CA as a sprint freestyler, breaststroker and water polo player.
Brandon met his wife, Amber, also a long time swimmer and water polo player, at Fullerton their freshman year. They moved to Texas and have been residents of Highland Village since 2007 with their four children.
Brandon is Head Swim Coach and Head Water Polo Coach for Marcus High School, as well as a Club Administrator and Head Age Group Coach with Thunder Water Polo Club. All three of his sons play age group for Thunder while Brandon and Amber continue to compete with Thunder Master's team.
Coach Shannon has coached for over 30 years, and joined Marcus High School in 1987 for a 2 year period. She then spent five years coaching Team Orlando Swimming and serving on the Florida Swimming Board of Directors. She returned to Texas to coach the swim team at Marcus High School in 1994 and has been with Marcus since then. She has been honored as District and Region Coach of the Year numerous times. Coach Shannon has coached TAGS State Champions, High School State Champions and Olympic Trial Qualifiers.
Swimming competitively since the age of 8, Coach Shannon lettered in swimming at SMU and SWTSU, where she also received her BS in Education and MA in Recreational Business. Certified as ASCA Level 3, Coach Shannon is committed to the sport of swimming and serves on the USA Swimming Board of Directors, is the President of the Texas Interscholastic Swim Coaches Association, the Technical Planning Chair for North Texas Swimming and the Manager of the USA Open Water World Swim Team. She served as a staff member for the 2012 USA Olympic Team and the 2013 World Championship Team.
Coach Shannon lives in Lantana with her husband, Chris. She has three children and six grandchildren.
Coach McGuire attended The College of Mount Saint Vincent and Manhattan College and received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Physical Education. While attending College received the Departmental Award for Physical Education majors, swam for the college and played on both the volleyball and softball teams. Dove for a club team while in college. Received Masters of Science in Exercise Physiology from Queens College. In 2010 received the Distinguished Service Award from the Physical Education and Human Performance Department of Manhattan College for contributions to the Physical Education profession.
After teaching 2 years in the Yonkers School District she moved to San Fransico and taught Special Needs Students at the San Francisco Recreation Center for the Handicapped.
She has coached Marcus along with the remaining LISD High Schools in Diving for the past 19 years. In this time, she has produced eight Diving All Americans including five Back-to-Back All Americans, twelve All State divers. During this period three Marcus divers have advanced to the State Meet with one Marcus diver placing 3rd in the State.
Coach has lived in Texas for twenty years along with husband of thirty one years and her three adult children.
